Azalea House is on the slope of Mt. Hiei, a world-heritage. To get there, drive 20 min. from Kyoto-Higashi exit on Meishin. Or ride the bus 30 min. from downtown Kyoto or 20 min. from JR Otsukyo Sta. and get off before Hieidaira convenience store. The host will meet you there. Please use our kitchen for simple cooking. The nearest stations are Oji Station on the JR Line and Goido Station on the Kintetsu Line. I'll come pick you up until 5pm. Please use the bus to return home. There is a bus stop nearby. If you are arriving by car, there is parking available on site. This 60-year-old traditional home has been fully renovated, offering guests a deep sense of both "Japan" and "Nara". Experience our traditional "futon" or rest comfortably in our beds for longer stays. Our dual-themed garden provides a serene Nara-esque atmosphere and a fun play area for kids with a large slide. Families can enjoy watching their children from inside. Prioritizing hygiene, our place is cleaned by professionals and equipped with brand-new sanitary facilities.

Check-in time is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Due to other work commitments, I can't accept check-ins after 5pm, but I will do my best to accommodate check-ins before 2pm. Check-in is not possible on dates listed in the house rules and Sundays. (Staying and check-out possible) This is a guest house that is a 100-year-old Japanese traditional house that I renovated myself. The old house is 300㎡ and the field is 300㎡. Recommended for couples, solo travelers, and families.

You can walk to the nearest train station, Namba Station within 15 minutes. It is easier to walk to the convenience store (Daiso) only 11 minutes. The children under 6 years old are definitely free of charge. I recommend you to stay here not only with your friends or as your family as well.
