Griffin - The Lake Superior Riverboat

The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. This guesthouse is detached from the main house, comes with garage parking and has all the amenities you need including a wood-burning fire place! Towels, bath tissue, soaps & travel items. AC Window Unit. Kitchen includes pots/pans, dishes, mugs/glasses, coffee pot, toaster & microwave. Paper goods. New appliances/new water heater in 2020. Stairs to the apartment are on the northeast corner of the garage. The beach is steps away with a fire pit, boat house lounge, kayaks, beach toys & bicycles.

A private secluded lake cabin retreat north of Turtle Lake, WI. Downstairs consists of a living room w/sofa sleeper, kitchen, and bathroom. The upstairs has 1 bedroom with a queen, a bed in the open loft and 1/2 bath. Drive by grazing cows and farm fields into the woods, onto a private gravel road, and down a long winding wooded driveway to our lake retreat! We don’t recommend visiting in winter without 4 wheel drive! Pontoon boat rental is available as an add on! Pets welcome for a $90 fee.
