Stay in 1940's California Zephyr Passenger Train!
Our California Zephyr Passenger Train is truly a rare piece of history, built in 1941 it is the oldest train car at Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort. It was in service as a coach car on the New Haven railroad which ran from New Haven Connecticut to New York City for many many years until it was sold to the Santa Fe Railroad, Amtrak, Heber Valley, and a private individual who used it as a poker parlor before it was traded to it's current home at The Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort.

Pennsylvania Train Car. Big Rock Candy Mountain!
Our Pennsylvania Train Car was built in the 1970's and ran along the Southern Pacific Railroad line for several years. In the 1960’s the Pennsylvania Railroad was the biggest railroad in the world before it merged with the New York Central and became even bigger. Now it no longer exists, CSX and NS own bits and pieces of it today. This Caboose was ran all over California, Oregon, and parts of Arizona before it was retired and then moved to The Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort.

Our Great Northern Boxcar ran along the Rio Grande Railroad for several years. The Great Northern was a very rugged railroad, that was built in mountainous country. It still runs in parts of Montana today. For years The Great Northern Railroad held the record for running the longest train, sometimes as long as a 450 car train. Our boxcar features queen bunk beds in one room and another queen bed in a separate bedroom, as well as a private deck overlooking the Sevier River.
