Little Town Café (open seasonally) on the Newlands road to Buttermere run by ex-chef Sarah has fantastic soups, sandwiches and cakes, and is set in a quiet spot with stunning views over the Newland fells.

Cafe in Newlands, over the hill from us. Good for afternoon tea and a stop off on a few of our walks from the door.
