Our local village pub is a 15 min stroll or 2 min drive away. Very relaxed and informal atmosphere, large portions, varied menu and great for for kids. Highly recommend for your first night, when you don't fancy cooking after your journey.

Carlos are a firm favourite with visitors to the area, and produce a delicious ice cream unlike any other, using a secret family recipe. Sit and relax in the gardens, and watch the chickens, rabbits and other small creatures hop about.

Then enjoy some time on the water courtesy of the passenger ferry for the quick hop over to Hengistbury Head. A gorgeous sandspit beach with huts and a cafe.
