¿Qué come la gente de Osaka?
Experience what it feels like to be a local! This 3-hour experience focuses on standing izakayas in Kyobashi, a neighborhood filled with small, local favorite restaurants and izakaya. Eat and drink like a local in these hidden gems while interacting with friendly Osaka locals! With me as your local host, you will be encouraged to try old-school izakaya foods and interact with locals in a way that you otherwise wouldn't. Unlike the other 'regular' food tours, you will be the one to choose which dish you'd try and order them by yourself in Japanese! We will go to 2-3 standing izakayas, and they have no English signs or menus. By the end of the tour, you'll be able to order your own next round of food and drinks! Come with me to eat and drink like locals, with locals. **PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE BOOKING** FOOD/DRINKS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE FEE (For drinks and food, it’s usually in the range of 1000 to 2500 yen pp/place.) Please know that the experience will be taken place in STANDING izakayas and they are SMOKING-FRIENDLY. This experience is NOT for those who have many food restrictions or are very specific about the dishes they want.
Talla un sello de piedra con una artesana en Insa-dong, Seúl
Hi. I am Helen Jeongju Kim. In this workshop, I will not only teach you how to write beautifully, but also how to experience the joy of carving a handcrafted seal. You will create a design using your name. During this activity, your mind will relax and you will experience healing through the slow analog, tactile sensibility of everyday life. I will teach you how to design and carve your name with a engraving knife on a small stone. First, I shows two ways to engrave the seal and demonstrates how to carve with a carving knife.(straight line, circle, etc.) Then I helps you learn to hold the engraving tool and practice properly. Next, I show the way to design the names and help to design according to syllable of name. You go for it and then cover with ink of Korean style and take a stamp. Once the engraving is over, you can choose a elegant case for your stone seal. It will be an opportunity to rethink the meaning of your name that you have forgotten while carving the seal. When you return home, you'll enjoy looking at the stamp you carved and remembering your travels. I'll write down a message for you in K-calligraphy after you have stamp your seal on a postcard I prepare. Public transportation is convenient. Other things to note -The name stone is not as hard as you think. -Even a 10-year-old can use a tool to carve an own seal.
Cerámica akahada-yaki en Nara con una arcilla local poco común
First I explain a little about what is special about “Akahada-yaki”. Then I hand over the raw clay to guests for appreciation and touching.Imagine this clay will be given life and become a work in your daily life! Have in your mind a image of your own design. Eg. If you participate with your partner, making same teacups for each other might be a memorable experience! I will also advise for your design from easiness of making or solidity in use. When design is finished, then we start building and shaping by wheel throwing. (See my demonstration!) It’s really a fun to turn a wheel! You can either concentrate in your work, or get more inspiration watching at my works in the gallery. Final step is to scrape and write your name at the bottom of your work. That’s how it works! And let’s have a tea break and Japanese sweet over imagining the finished condition of your work. I will dry and bake your work, then duly pack it , which takes 4 months (or longer in high seasons) in total till dispatching for shipment. (International shipment cost should be additionally paid at the class. For some countries shipment may not be possible, please ask.) About the cost or acceptability of international shipment of your completed pottery to your country, please check with us beforehand.(For some countries we reccommed to use more costly Fedex service for safety.)

Highlights of Phi Phi Islands
Pictured on many postcards with its sandy beaches, bays with crystal clear waters and towering limestone cliffs, the Phi Phi islands are among Thailand’s most famous destinations. Experience the barefoot lifestyle and tropical landscape of the Phi Phi Islands in the Andaman Sea on our half day sunset tour. Swim with colorful fish at Loh Samah and Monkey Bay and snorkel among coral gardens. Places we visit during the tour: - Monkey Bay - Viking Cave - Pileh Lagoon - Loh Samah Bay - Maya Bay While on the way back to the meeting point, you can enjoy the sunset. NOTE 1: This tour starts and ends on Koh Phi Phi. It does NOT start from Ao Nang (Krabi) or Phuket. Participants have to travel to Koh Phi Phi by themselves and need to stay at the island for at least 1 night. NOTE 2: This tour is really about swimming, snorkeling and visiting beautiful spots around Koh Phi Phi, not about story-telling. NOTE 3: Phi Phi Islands are part of a National Park. The National Park fee of THB 400 per adult (THB 200 per child) is not included and must be paid cash on day of the experience. IMPORTANT: As per government decision, Maya Bay will be closed for a couple of months every year, so that the area can undergo a period of natural rehabilitation. All the other places in the itinerary will still be accessible during this time, so more time will be spend here for swimming and snorkeling.
Bangkok Canal Tour by Long-tail boat
Everyday 5 times: 8:00, 9:30, 12:30, 15:30, 16:30 hrs. Hop on a typical Thai long-tail boat to explore the Bangkok Yai Canal in Thonburi, the ancient capital of Thailand. During our 2-hour canal adventure you will explore life on and around the klongs (canals) and get a glimpse of how the local people live. Elderly people sitting on the chairs on the wooden docks of their tiny homes overlooking the canal, women hanging laundry to dry, and children jumping into the water and swimming in the canal, amazing! We will make a stop at Baan Silapin (The Artist's House), a traditional Thai house that has been converted into a public space to preserve art and traditional performance styles. The wooden house, over 200 years old and lovingly restored by its owner, sits at the heart of a small community of rustic shophouses which are connected by a wooden walkway that follows the edge of the klong (canal). Furthermore, we pass Wat Paknam Phasi Charoen, built in the mid-Ayutthaya period in the Phasi Charoen District in Thonburi. The boat driver will stop the boat so that you can take a good photo of the huge Buddha statue at this temple. The Buddha statue is towering nearly 70 meters above the ground, the height of a 20-story building, and it is Bangkok's biggest Buddha image, with a width of 40 meters in its cross-legged meditation posture.
El mercado flotante de Damnoen Saduak y el mercado del tren
Everyday 2 times: 7:15 AM and 10:30 AM After 1 to 1,5 hours driving we arrive at the famous Mae Klong train market (Talat Rom Hup). Imagine a train going straight through a public market! The Mae Klong Railway Market has been around since 1905. Fishing was (and still is) one of the main livelihoods of the people who lived here, and the market was another way in which to sell their goods. Officials decided to build a railway in order to better deliver these goods to other provinces. The market stayed at the same place though, despite the new tracks that cut through it. Visit Wat Bang Kung, famous for its small chapel that is completely enclosed within the roots of a banyan tree. It is almost like the tree itself is the pillars of the temple and that without the roots the chapel would fall down. You can also go inside to pay respect to the Buddha image. Continue to Damnoen Saduak where we board a long-tail boat for a ride through the canals before we reach the famous floating market of Damnoen Saduak. Although the market evolved more into a tourist attraction nowadays, it’s still worth the visit for its unique atmosphere and the experience it offers. THE EXACT MEETING TIME/DEPARTURE TIME WILL BE INFORMED IN A PERSONAL MESSAGE TO YOU THE DAY BEFORE THE TOUR. PLEASE READ OUR MESSAGE CAREFULLY AND KEEP IN MIND THAT WE HAVE TO START ON TIME.

Korean bbq place of the month curated by the Host
***Location changes every month. ** We send recommendations for things to do around the kbbq location once you finish booking. ** Time can be adjusted based on your needs! If you need coordination, please DM us. In Korea, it can be difficult to order and eat Korean barbeque alone. BUT, I can be your food buddy. Me and my friends were born and raised in Seoul, and acquired all the knowledge about the best BBQ places in Seoul. If you are looking for the legit experience where you can eat the best KBBQ introduced by locals, you HAVE TO book this experience. Location will change every month, randomly selected by me and my friends(in Seoul). It will include our all time favorite restaurants, but also recently trending restaurants. During this experience, we will be having different parts of pork that Koreans usually enjoy, which includes pork belly, jowl meat, pork neck and more. If the event is happening at night, we can also enjoy drinking korean alcohol while learning different kinds of drinking game. (Alcohol price will be charged seperately) *** Please note!! This is not the experience where I give you a huge insight about tradition or eating culture, but it is more focused on 'eating together'. So I am just letting you know that you might be disappointed if you are expecting to learn traditional way to eat kbbq. (I can show how I personally like to eat tho)
Stories from Vietnam War at not-to-go-alone areas
Hanoi during the Vietnam War: the dark side of its most famous monuments. Discover life under the planned economy, the fate(s) of the local people from both sides (the North and the South); and the story of the unification of Vietnam, a country once divided between the communist and anti-communist, on the brink of the COLD WAR. Our "stroll" will last about 2.5 hours, with a short taxi ride half way through. The aim of my walk is to make you discover specific areas of Hanoi (far away from the tourist's eyes) in the light of aspects of our city's rich history that are rarely touched upon by guidebooks, with in-depth information (history buffs welcome) but in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. A conversation, rather than a lecture! Places we will visit: - Cho Gioi area - Kham Thiem B52 memorial - Hanoi Train Street Note: 20% of the profit will be donated to the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in Hanoi.
