The unit is equipped with a full-size washer/dryer, 43” Smart TV, stocked kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi for your convenience. However, due to the spiral staircase, we do not recommend this unit for children.

Located in the Knik Glacier Valley, this getaway provides a spectacular retreat with many options for local activities. Enjoy the hot tub or take in breathtaking mountain views from the balcony for a peaceful and relaxing escape. We are far enough from town to be surrounded by nature with frequent moose visits & exceptional northern lights, while still fairly close to restaurants and shopping (30 min). Some great local activities are heli rides, snowmachine expeditions, hiking and much more!

Top of Our House

This is an apartment on the top floor of our home in Girdwood with views of Alyeska, Fishes Breath, and Maxes Mountains. It is one mile from Alyeska ski resort, and near Virgin Creek Falls. It's a one bedroom with a king bed, full bath, kitchen, TV in the bedroom, and a kitchen table and couch. It is accessible by walking up two flights of stairs on the outside of the house. We live downstairs with a toddler who you will likely hear. Sometimes four wheel drive is needed in heavy snow.

Welcome to the Hangar Hideaway! You will be a 6 min drive from the airport and an 8 min drive from downtown Anchorage. The unit is furnished with stainless steel appliances, a private washer and dryer, Roku smart TVs in each room, and high speed WiFi. Close to trails, restaurants, shopping, and parks. Nearby grocery and convenience stores are easily accessible. Order an Uber, Lyft, or cab for longer distanced trips at reasonable prices. We are home base for all your Alaskan adventures!

Cupples Cottage #1: Downtown!
