The Beach Hut Whiritoa

Our beach bach (kiwi slang for "holiday house") is all about kicking back. Nestled only 300m walk from the pristine shoreline of Whiritoa Beach, our tranquil beach hut (a large Queen studio space equipped for 2 adults) invites you to escape. Take a long soak in the wood-fired hot tub after spending the day exploring the beach. (PLEASE NOTE that the hot tub is not available between 25th Dec to 7th Jan) down the end of a long, quiet driveway. Come and experience this special part of New Zealand.

Our property is clean and modern with all the facilities and extras to make your stay enjoyable. Relax inside in the comfortable lounge or unwind outside in the sheltered, lush garden. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, and outside there’s a choice of either a gas or coal barbecue. The beach is a stroll of less than 400 metres and it’s an easy walk to the general store/ takeaways. Whiritoa has a lagoon at one end which is perfect for children to safely paddle in and a great, quiet beachside experience. Property has internet connectivity and Sky TV.

A 2 bedroom unit which is below our main house, is situated at the end of a quiet culdesac right across from the beach, within 10 seconds from leaving your door you will be dipping your toes in the sand. Whiritoa is 15mins from Waihi and 10mins from Whangamata. Off street parking in front of the unit including space for a boat. A stunning place for you and your family to relax and enjoy as we do.

Beachfront House at Whiritoa, Coromandel

Beautiful, modern house with expansive ocean views. Watch the sun rise, the moon rise and the magical rose coloured sunsets that reflect off of the south cliff face. Located directly in front of the council reserve and sand dunes. Set on a quiet cul de sac and toasty warm with a large heat pump for winter and outdoor shower in summer. Situated on the crest of the Coromandel ranges on the 309 road. Mahakirau Forest Estate comprises almost 600 ha of native forest. Each site is convenated by QEII National Trust who describe Mahakirau "outstanding for it's ecology and wildlife value with brown kiwi, kaka, Hochsetetter's and Archey's frogs all present".
