Blackbirds Cottage is a detached spacious two bedroom both en-suite holiday home situated in the heart of Douglas valley, within a ten minute walk to the idyllic village of Parbold which has three country pubs, a wine bar and cafe. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife you’ll be sure of a relaxed, private and peaceful stay.

The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay, with two bedrooms, a living room with a fire, a kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower. There is also free parking secured by an electric gate, a 49” Samsung Smart TV, free WiFi, and a gated garden area. It’s also located next to a golf course, a short walk from the local pub, a short drive from a Tesco and Starbucks.

The cosy guest suite includes a living room with TV, leather sofa and armchair, small dining table and 2 chairs. There is a compact kitchen area equipped with combination oven/microwave, hob, fridge and all essential crockery and cookware. The bedroom has an oak framed king size bed with matching bedside tables and is furnished with pine furniture, curtains and a blind. The shower room is spacious and is en suite to the bedroom. There is gas central heating and blinds to most of the windows.

Set in a fantastic position, The Dalton Bungalow is a picturesque two bedroom semi-detached bungalow. A modern open plan living space with lounge area, dining space and a fitted kitchen. A double bedroom which overlooks the large rear garden which enjoys afternoon sun. • 5 min drive to town centre shops • 15 min drive to Ormskirk / Edge Hill University • 5 min drive to Parbold The peaceful location on the outskirts of town has rural walks around the Beacon Country Park and Tawd Valley.

1750's cottage with open fire and beams

Take it easy at this unique and cosy cottage with a real open fire and original beams. The cottage was constructed in approximately 1750 during the reign of George II. The cottage is constructed from wood and stone and there is not a straight wall, ceiling or door casing in the house! You learn very fast (after banging your head once or twice) to duck under the low door frames and beams. The cottage is small, quirky and very cosy but with a suprisingly large master bedroom and bathroom.

Logs can be provided upon request. Internet connection and smart TV are provided. Our home is ideally located for country walks with good pubs and a golf course nearby.

The separate living area has a dining table, sofa and small fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities, cutlery and crockery (for takeaways etc.) are provided. Parking is at the front or side of the house. There is access to strong WiFI . Pets are welcome.
