Visit the puffins and other seabirds - really great staff - fun quizzes for the kids too. Boat tours at certain times too
A great place to go if you are interested in seabirds. Have a chat with one of the volunteers as they are full of fascinating facts about the birds. One of the best places for a high chance of seeing Albie- believed to be the only Albotross in the northern hemisphere. Also has areas to encourage garden birds. Free parking with admission.
RSPB Bempton is a 5min drive or an easy 45min country walk away from our cottages. It’s home to tens of thousands of seabirds including the famous puffins! There is a lovely cafe with outside seating overlooking the cliffs and the RSPB centre has kids packs, binoculars and wheelchairs to hire. Great walks, amazing views and skies filled with birds. A great day out! (Entrance fee to visitor centre if not an RSPB member)

One of the UK’s top wildlife spectacles - almost half-a-million seabirds swooping, soaring and screeching above and around towering chalk cliffs. Between March and October, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, herring gulls, fulmars and shags nest here as well as the largest seabird in the UK, the majestic gannet. The thriving gannet colony here is the largest on the UK mainland. And everyone's favourite, the puffin, is with us from April to July. Six, safe viewpoints perch on the cliff tops and give incredible views of the nesting birds and along the impressive coastline towards Filey or Flamborough. Viewpoint volunteers are on hand to help identify the different species and point out the action. The Seabird Centre is the gateway to 'Seabird city'
