Technically Kyoto Garden is not on Kloof Street, it’s on the adjacent Kloof Nek Road. But they’re so close in name and geographical location that we thought it would be OK to include Cape Town’s best Japanese restaurant in this list. This restaurant offers outstanding sushi and a selection of Japanese food that includes an incredible miso soup. It’s worth going just for the drinks menu—there’s Japanese beer, Japanese single malt whiskey, and sake on offer.
