The renowned “Stopkova Pivnice” pub has always been one of the pillars of Czech social and cultural life in Brno. A pub was opened on this site as early as the mid-19th century. It gained its fame after the arrival of its new owner, the ingenious publican Jaroslav Stopka, who took over the original “Jonákova Pub” in 1910. This is a Pilsner Urquell chain pub. Well prepared local Czech specialities. Good tatarák (steak tartare). Brno is proud of it's grumpy barstaff. This place is no exception! Expensive for local standards. Good beer.

They serve well prepared traditional czech food and some great Pilsner beer to go with it. Most dishes are priced in the 150 to 300 CZK range.
