Beacon Rock is a pillar of the gorge with beautiful panaromic views the entire way up and down. The hike is steep in some locations and I don't recommend it for those who are super scared of heights since the path is along a cliff edge. If you aren't afraid of heights, this is an easy and relatively short up and down hike.

A dizzying mile-long switchback trail takes you up 848-foot Beacon Rock, but that’s not the only way to a tip-top experience. Rock climbing and hiking to waterfalls are the rage at this park, where there are plenty of vantage points for eagle-eye views.

Short hike with great view, easy access, kid friendly. Need Discovery Pass or pay $5

Waterfalls, a giant lava tube to climb, hiking and iconic views of the Columbia River Gorge won't disappoint!
