Town 30 min from the city by train. Walk along the beach, eat from the 'lobster shack' right on the harbour. Bird activity on Bass Rock is visible with binoculars from the shore but even better to arrange a boat tour to the largest gannet colony anywhere in the world. Nearby Tantallon Castle is worth visiting.

Great Seaside town, with some really nice shops and restaurants, there is a harbour and a bird visitor centre. Normally fairly busy, so there is a nice atmosphere. From there you can see bass rock

Great shops and places to eat and drink. Take a boat trip from here round the Bass Rock or out to the Isle of May

A fun popular seaside town with lovely shops, fab coffee shops and restaurants, as well as the seabird centre and of course a couple of beaches! The lovely harbour is also worth a visit.
