Centrally located on the east side of the river across from Veterans memorial park resides Wenonah Park. This 6.1-acre park is centered on an amphitheater, affectionately called "Friendship Shell". Also home to "Friendship Ring", a Bay City icon, which remains in few down Center avenue for miles. This park comes alive once the weather breaks with outdoor movies, music festivals and more! The grand finale is the Friday after thanksgiving when Santa comes to Bay City! Santa's arrival is eagerly anticipated by kids of all ages as they wave their flashlights in the air guiding him in. Sing along Christmas songs fill the air in hopes Christmas Cheer will soon bring him here! Upon arrival Santa takes the stage to deliver a live performance prior to the tree lighting ceremony. Immediately following the traditional ceremony Santa then makes his way to the planetarium across the street where he's followed by a rush of girls and boys hoping to talk to Santa! Just when you think the park would fall quiet under the spell of winter it's brought back to life by a new to bay city outdoor ice skating rink! Laughter fills the crisp air of a winters day till March melts it all away :)

Wenonah Park is the central park of Bay County, Michigan. The park, approximately 6.1 acres, is located along the east bank of the Saginaw River in Bay City, Michigan, United States and centered on an amphitheater. Across the river is another city park, Veterans Memorial Park.
