Restaurant Hemelse Modder (Heavenly Mud) was founded in 1984 by 11 friends with shared ideals. The team, location and decor have changed a bit, but we have remained dedicated to the original values of warm hospitality and honest food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and welcoming. We're open for dinner, seven days a week, from 18.00 hours. You are sincerely invited to come and taste our seasonal and local dishes. You will be warmly welcomed and served with delight in our restaurant in the center of Amsterdam, near the Nieuwmarkt and the Central Station. Review examples: - Delicious eaten. Cared for to perfection. Friendly staff that will be happy to serve you without the hustle and bustle. From receipt to farewell a nice experience. A quiet place away from the bustle of mass tourism. - So good food and also hear the veggie beautiful plates! Super service yes just fine. And they sell their cookbook which is also recommended

The restaurant name says it all really.. Hemelse Modder means Heavenly Mud, a delicious Dutch chocolate desert :-) The back terrace is great in the summer, cosy bistro tables surrounded by potted plants
