Tottenham has just gained a micropub. Set on the high road next to the Tottenham High Cross pillar, its diminutive size is down to its somewhat unusual housing: a 1920s public toilet. After lying abandoned for years, the team have polished up the fairytale, mock Tudor facade, illuminated the Ladies & Gentlemen signs once more, and opened their doors as a cosy, unexpected little boozer. Very cosy and welcoming and we've heard they do the best roast in Tottenham. Nearest station: Bruce Grove or Seven Sisters.

Our favourite little pub in the neighbourhood. The quirky building is a very beautiful conversion of a former Victorian public toilet. They sell great beers including some of the local craft ales, and also a small but delicate range of home made pub food. Yum.

High cross opened very recently in a old public toilet block. Its a lovely, classic pub, and an innovative layout. It's tiny, but somehow fits in more than most. Definitely head here for a drink or two. They serve local brewery beer (try anything from Bohem brewing) and cook their own food and snacks .(hand made scotch eggs!)
