Paithalmala is a hill station in the Kannur district of Kerala in India.Palakkayam thattu is a hill top which can be reached by Jeep and walk.There is an observatory tower made by the department of tourism at the hilltop which can be reached after a 45 min walk from the Paithal valley. Trekking starts through the dense forest followed by the plain grass land on the hill top.Once we reach there, there are many adventure activities and beautiful view points. If sky is clear, we can see Kannur airport and trains passing through valapattanam . zorbing, zipline, rope course etc are available here. Beautiful water falls and off road drives are are also available

Largest hill station in notrh Kerala. Trucking through deep forests to the hill top will be a great experience. Views from the watch tower is awesome. Western side of paithal mala is kodagu forest. Climate is very cool round the year.
