Shiprock Falls is a partly obscured but noisy little cascade running over large boulders, not far from where the giant Ship Rock ran aground. There is a viewing platform from which you can get a glimpse of the falls, safely from the side. For a closer look, the track down to the creek itself is eroding away in parts, with a steep drop down one side if you lose your footing. After some scrambling, up close the vivid whites of the falls and the bright greens of the moss-covered boulders stand out in contrast to the surrounding forest and the dark, wet rocks in the creek.

If you can find the turn off you are rewarded with a great walk, to hese beautiful hidden falls. adventurers can follow the stream and do some climbing and possibly falling :-)
