Enjoy the spectacular views of beautiful Port Stephens and beyond from Gan Gan Hill Lookout located on Lily Hill Road, just off the main road which travels down into Nelson Bay, one of the highest points in the area. There is wheelchair access to the viewing platforms. Interpretative signage at the lookout will help you identify points of interest.

The Rotary Club of Nelson Bay, Port Stephens Council, and the State Government have recently upgraded the site to ensure that the Lookout reclaims its status as an iconic tourist attraction for Port Stephens. Improvements include wheelchair accessibility and additional features such as the introduction of a viewing platform to the south, which has added a completely new dimension to this tourist attraction, opening up viewing to Stockton Beach, Newcastle and beyond.

The Gan Gan lookout has 2 viewing platforms one looking back towards Newcastle views looking at One Mile Beach and Stockton Dunes. The 2nd lookout gives you views over Port Stephens and across to Hawks Nest/Tea Gardens.
