The highest brewery in Switzerland and the first demonstration brewery in the canton of Grisons is in Monstein. It is housed in the former village dairy, a building that was erected 100 years ago. BierVision Monstein AG uses crystal clear spring water, Swiss hops and aromatic malt to brew Monstein beer specialities in accordance with a richly traditional recipe. Monstein is a picturesque hamlet located 1625 metres above sea level. The typical Walser houses and stilts lend the village with its two churches and two guest houses an unforgettable charm. Every Friday 16:00 - 19:00 h unguided tours and cosy get-togethers with the brewer. From January to December you can spend a few cosy hours with friends with a brewer's aperitif or in the brewery seminar where you can try your own hand at brewing a beer.
