Definitely a must see! Great for a stroll or a run. Some nature in the midst of the city. On sunny days it’s always ‘packed’ with sun-seekers. Although summer holidays are usually a little bit quieter, since lots of students leave for their home town or even their home country (lots of international students). Even in winter this is a very popular spot for people to work-out together and parents and kids because of the playgrounds in the park. It’s just a beautiful place.

a park near the center, entirely designated as national monument. Every year a number of events, which Noorderzon is perhaps the best known. This is a theater and dance event in august

Beautifull park to walk or relax. There is a small restaurant called "Zondag" in the middle of the park where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner.
