The historic castle, loads of history, and right in the city centre so good for a day out. If you're here in October it also hosts Nottingham beer festival which is the only time I ever go there ! :)
Historic site at the heart of the Robin Hood legend and starting point for the English Civil War. Now a museum. Free access on particular dates if you are lucky :)

“Situated in the heart of Nottingham, the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall are two of the UK’s most vibrant and thriving touring venues, leading the way for arts and entertainment in the East Midlands region. Across both venues, they create and receive the highest quality performances chosen especially for you, including internationally renowned orchestras, contemporary dance, opera and touring drama alongside West End musicals, family shows, stand-up comedy, orchestral music and rock & pop gigs. Rooted firmly in the community, they aim to entertain, inspire and create unforgettable experiences for everyone and place accessibility at the heart of everything they do. With a wide range of workshops and education projects involving the local community, there really is something here for everyone. Royal Concert Hall - Built in 1982 on the site of the old Empire Theatre, the Royal Concert Hall is highly regarded for its superb visual and acoustic design. Since then, the roll call of famous names to have performed on its stage ranges from world-renowned classical soloists and conductors, to a who’s who of the world’s biggest rock stars, pop bands and stand-up comedians. The unique acoustics of the 2,257-seat auditorium provide a warmth and clarity of sound much admired by orchestras and performers from across the globe. Theatre Royal - Brimming with history, the Theatre Royal is not only a city centre landmark but also one of the most beautiful Victorian theatres in Britain. Built in 1865 and later transformed in 1897 by renowned architect Frank Matcham, the theatre is considered to be one of the most spectacular surviving examples of Matcham’s work. In 1978, the Theatre Royal re-opened following a £5million refurbishment, whilst today the timeless beauty of the 1,107-seat auditorium remains a vital and much-cherished part of our community.”

“Woolaton Hall and Park are Nottingham's number 1 attraction especially during the refurbishment of Nottingham castle. The park is home to a boating lake, deer, and coppices. There is a golf course that is quite challenging. The Hall was also used as Bruce manor for the filming of the Batman trilogy.”
