Nottingham Castle, a castle in Nottingham, England, is located in a commanding position on a natural promontory known as "Castle Rock", with cliffs 130 feet high to the south and west. In the Middle Ages it was a major royal fortress and occasional royal residence.

Currently closed for a fantastic £13.9m Heritage Lottery Funded redevelopment, the planned improvements include a new visitor centre, adventure playground, land train, more cave tours and exhibitions detailing Nottingham's thrilling history. Reopening in 2020.

Castle is closed until 2020 for reconstruction but you can take a picture in front of the Robin Hood statue.
