These are incredible remains of a Roman Villa. A site not to miss with free entry and a 45 minute walk away or less than 5 minutes drive.

Amazing roman villa right on the doorstep, a circular walk takes about 1 hour, very pretty.

Leave Brook Lodge, down to the River Evenlode (five mins walk) and cross the pretty bridge and then walk across the valley floor and up a gentle slop to the Roman Villa. The villa once has 60 rooms and the remains are an evocative place to visit and let your imagination run wild. A special place to visit at any time, particularly early morning or at sunset.

The remains of an extensive roman villa lie at the end of our village. Turn left out of our property, walk or drive to the other end of the village. The path down to the Roman villa can be found on the right hand side. Wear wellies if it's wet!
