Take the tram from Majorstuen to the top of Holmenkollen (Frognerseteren station) - bring plenty of food and water and spend the entire day hiking through the Norwegian forests. Lunch at Frognerseteren is a special treat!

Winter activities: In winter there are more than 450 km of prepared, red-marked ski trails in Nordmarka, and some of them are illuminated in evenings. You can also just walk among the lights, and see the lake covered in ice, very pretty. Summer activities: In the summer you can find nice, blue-marked tracks for hiking, biking routes and idyllic lakes for swimming.

Fantastic network of walking, running, biking, and skiing paths, and lakes to swim in. There are also restaurants and cafés which are very charming to visit!! A must, when in Oslo!
