This is about a mile hike down to the bay where a steam meets the ocean. Stunning! Park along the side of the road. About 6 miles north of Hilo

Beautiful scenic drive (or bike ride). Follow highway 19 north of Hilo. Between mile marker 7 and 8 take the right hand turn that is marked "scenic Drive". Combine with a visit to the Botanical Garden.

Beautiful Onomea Overlook and trail. Don't miss this beautiful overlook and paved trail hike down to the ocean on your way to the nearby Botanical Gardens. Note: You can't access the botanical garden from this trail.

Super short walk for some great photo opportunities. This is also the location of the botanical gardens on Hilo side!
