I visited this recently renovated The Abbey, is part of the Romanesque churches of Montealbano. The building "cross plan", narrow aisle, half-columns and arches, a transept with a crypt, accessible only from the outside, covered by vaults supported by low pillars, and three apses with a conical roof, typical of the thirteenth century, and double row of mullioned windows. very interesting its architectural uniqueness, you can see Romanesque influences, and medieval. The stones and the architectural techniques vary according to the use of reconstruction of the various periods. its first building dates between the eleventh and twelfth centuries, has been restored in the second half of the twelfth century. the bell tower, perhaps dating back to 1200 and modified in the nineteenth century.
