I tried to tell you about first Fridays in downtown Santa Cruz, but it wouldn't search. Go downtown on friday evening. Just go-despite the fact you will be asked for change every 10 min. this is when you go and see the art shine through the cracks, in the restaurants, boutiques, roadside, and anywhere in between. The MAH is fantastick too, and shares a wall with the Abott square mentioned above.
