The Hackley/Hume home historic site are the homes of two of the Muskegon areas biggest benefactors. These two lumber barons and their lumber mills were instrumental in Muskegon's growth and the rebuilding of Chicago after the great Chicago fire.

Enjoy a tour of the homes of Muskegon's most well-known lumber barons. There are opportunities to tour daily in-season so you can view the intricate Victorian architecture, stained glass and wood carvings, and learn more about the history of our area. If you don't have time to tour, the homes are still worth a drive-by!
