Both a sight seeing destination and a food scene. You get amazing river views, an art scene [Southbank Gallery], check out the BFI if you are a movie buff. It is an entertainment and commercial district in central London, next to the River Thames and in close proximity to City of Westminster.

Lots of food stalls and things to see. Often busy but with lots to do or see. If you are going to Tate Modern then its quite a nice walk if you have the energy!
