Take the West End to Brewer's Bay, a lovely white-sand beach popular with the locals. Free to the public. The snorkeling is great. We saw sea turtles, stingrays and sea urchins, just to name a few.

While most of the tourist trade is on the east end of the island, Brewers is a beautiful beach just west of the airport. Pack a picnic and find some shade off to the left. Watch planes land and take off while floating in the bay. On weekends this spot can be crowded with local families.
