Ironbridge in Telford Shropshire is regularly visited by guests. The bridge was the 1st Ironbridge to be erected over the river Severn in 1779. It is now owned by English Heritage and is free to visit.

Birthplace of the industrial revolution and a beautiful spot to visit. Lots of good places to eat, drink and shop along with lots of lovely walks. Well worth a visit. 20 miles from us.

The world's first iron bridge was erected over the River Severn at Coalbrookdale in 1779. This now world-famous industrial monument gave its name to the Town that grew around it and to the spectacular wooded gorge that was the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
