The Russian Museum is the largest collection of Russian art in the world. Here you can see works by Andrei Rublev, Ilya Repin (including the famous paintings “Barge Haulers on the Volga” and “Zaporozhtsy write a letter to the Turkish Sultan”), Karl Bryullov (including “Last Day of Pompeii” and “Italian Midday”), as well as a whole hall paintings of Ivan Aivazovsky ("The Ninth Wave", etc.) and many more.
