It is a 5-minutes to the Ōtaki township, where the Te Wananga O Raukawa campus, and the Golf Course are. The township also contains a library, supermarkets and takeaway shops. The beach and Otaki Forks is just a 10-minute drive.

It is a great get away for couples wanting a romantic getaway on the Kapiti Coast. If the sky’s are clear this is a great location for night photography. There's a tripod for your phone as well as binoculars to view the constellations from the comfort of a patio moon chair & blanket. There is a sauna, spa pool & swimming pool which is solar heated through summer.

Glamping At Johns Hut, Country Pines

Johns Hut is located in our private manuka and forestry block. It is an idyllic spot with hundreds of acres to explore and with only native birds to join you. There is hot water for you to enjoy for outdoor showers and baths but no electricity and no phone reception, so you can truly relax and unwind. There is a large outdoor fire, self contained kitchen and plenty of beds - all beautifully restored in their rustic form. We would love to host you in our spot of heaven!

The bach is 30 metres from the main house with its own access, parking and outside deck area. Just five minutes’ walk from the beach and an easy bike ride from the Kapiti cycle trails, it’s perfect whether you’re after some well-earned rest or a little adventure. There is a fully equipped kitchen and an ensuite bathroom .
