Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

Inodoro pequeño y la ducha está en el lavadero. El espacio es ideal para 2 personas. La casa está cerca de la estación de autobuses de Hamraborg (10 minutos a pie), de la piscina local (llamada «Sundlaug Kópavogs», que recomendamos encarecidamente), de Sky Lagoon, de una panadería, de un supermercado, de una farmacia y de mucho más.

Lyngholt es el nombre de esta pequeña casa, se encuentra en Bræðratunga en las afueras de Mosfellsbæ, a solo 50 minutos en coche del aeropuerto internacional. Lyngholt está rodeado de abetos y abedules, musgo y montañas, con rutas de senderismo por todas partes, y cerca está el lago Hafravatn. A 2 km de la siguiente tienda de comestibles y a 3 km del centro de Mosfellsbæ, donde se puede encontrar una panadería, restaurantes y biblioteca. A unos 600 metros de la parada de autobús, donde puedes tomar el autobús al centro de Reikiavik

Las playas están a poca distancia a pie y este es el lugar perfecto para caminar, andar en bicicleta, correr y montar a caballo, o para observar aves o focas.

The apartment has a private entrance and is on second floor in a friendly 2 apartment house.

Stunning villa with amazing 360 views, great location close to the golden circle and the capital region (only 30 min drive). The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeps 10 people.
