This design award winning detached property is surrounded by grounds which include a slope which may not be suitable for very young children. With stunning sea views, The Outlook is built into the hillside, access is via steps down from the road (or can be accessed via a steep path). Minutes from the Valley Gardens, on the beach path, close to the town centre; this is a beautiful spot. The Outlook sadly doesn’t lend itself well to those with mobility issues or very young children. Dog friendly.

Runswick Bay - Top Gallant - with great sea views

Top Gallant and is down in the Bay. We have a great veranda with amazing views. WiFi and a Smart TV which includes Netflix and Prime Video. Bedding and towels provided. We provide a free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. The booking includes a bottle of wine. No Pets. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to steps and a spiral staircase. Check in 3pm. Check out 11.00 am. I charge no cleaning fee but please leave tidy.

It’s ideal for family breaks, mini breaks and perfect for walkers. A free 2 hour high street parking disk is provided, plus free parking 6pm till 8am daily. Other times up to £4 a day.

Castleton is lucky to have two great pubs The Downe Arms right across the road and The Eskdale which serves lovely ‘fine dining food’ but also lovely just for a drink. This self contained holiday cottage offers a chance to get closer to the workings of a family dairy farm. It is situated in the North York Moors National Park, midway between the moors and the coast and just a fifteen minute drive (or slightly longer bus ride) from Whitby. The accomodation is unusually spacious for a one bedroomed cottage, it is light, warm and very well insulated but don’t forget there is the potential for noise and smells from the farm!
