Open 9.30am until 9.30pm, except Sundays when it closes at 7pm. Check their site for out of season times. Seating inside and out and family friendly. English and Dutch spoken if needed. Lunches and dinners or just coffee. Simple, but good food. There is a small Sunday morning market on it’s doorstep and a village shop opposite - both good for basics.

Very good food with a good reputation in the area. Excellent, classic French cuisine, beautifully presented. Good service. We ate there on a very quiet day and found the ambience a bit lacking given the expense, but the food was very special.

Eat outside in the summer. Lovely setting in the middle of the countryside. Traditional in style. The food in this hotel restaurant is of a high standard. We’ve eaten there a couple of times, both out of season: the first we enjoyed the ambience, the second the food. Open all year.

A Michelin starred restaurant. Quality food, good service. Can be very busy and difficult to book. We have eaten there twice: the first time we ate in the evening and the food and service were really fabulous; the second time, at lunch, we found the food and service less inspiring.

The views over the Lot river from the restaurant are amazing. The service is attentive and the restaurant is usually busy. We ate there once and found the food a bit formulaic, but the ambience is ample compensation.

A Relais & Chateaux hotel with a ‘restaurant gastronomique’ with two Michelin stars. Beware, the Michelin reveiw says of the decor “glitzy, dandy, enigmatic” Have not yet made it there to give you a food reveiw!

The wine estate of Château de Chambert offers guided tours in English, tastings of great wines, lunch on the terrace (in July and August) with special views and a games area for kids. An impressive castle that can be seen for many kilometres before you arrive. Open all year. It dates back to the 11th century and was owned by the Gontaut-Biron family for 24 generations. It contains many different architectural styles. There are beautiful restored rooms, imposing towers, and a sixteenth century chapel to explore. Great family fun.
