Only a mile from your house, this is a wonderful hike for all levels and dogs are welcome. You can enjoy a 45 minute flat loop around the pond in all seasons, or challenge yourself with longer hikes in the woods.

One mile away, this historic hotel in the Manchester Village is a great place to walk to from the house. It doesn't have much historic character in the guest rooms and lobby, but the outside is fun to see and they have great hamburgers!

Dorset is 7 miles away from Manchester and an utterly charming, quintessential Vermont town to explore. The Marble quarry is great for picnics. The HN Williams Country Store and Union Store are really great Vermont places. The Dorset Theatre Festival is wonderful!

Weston is about 45 minutes away and a truly delightful road trip. Enjoy the famous Vermont Country Store, the gazebo in the town green, and of course the legendary Weston Playhouse where we have been seeing musicals in the summer since I was a little girl.
