Parque Tenente Siqueira Campos, popularly known as Parque Trianon, is set in the heart of Avenida Paulista. It is a bit of the Atlantic Forest in the middle of São Paulo. A place that makes us forget that we are in the financial artery of Brazil. It is a perfect space to walk with friends and live moments of relaxation. Other than that, you may still have a chance to come across an outdoor music show. It is an excellent program for tourists and visitors passing through Paulista. Trianon Park is a trickle of the Atlantic Forest. There we can find specimens of pink araribá, cinnamon poca, cedar, jequitibá, ironwood, sapopemba, sapucaia and anglerfish, as well as abiurana, Andá-açu, camboatás, guaraiúva and tapia-guaçu. In the understory there are exotic species introduced such as Chinese palms palm and seafortia and seedlings of native species planted for floristic enrichment. A total of 135 species were recorded, of which 8 are endangered, such as cabreúva, chichá and palmito-jussara. The Park Fauna is curious. With the exception of arachnids and the tree frog, anuran endemic amphibian species of the Atlantic Forest, it can be said that the animal diversity of the Park is composed only of winged beings (flying animals), two species of butterflies, seven bats and 28 of birds, represented by cat-souls, pitiguari, kiri-kiri, yellow-tailed and tamarin. Yellow-throated Sanhaçu and Black-backed Thrush are the endemic of the biome. During its migration, the Blacksmith makes a "stop" in the Park, and can be detected by the metallic timbre singing. Noteworthy are the tiger butterflies, whose wings with orange and yellow stripes on a black background resemble a tiger. Schedule: Daily from 6am to 6pm.

The first shopping mall in Latin America is also one of the most famous in the city. It brings together 330 national and imported stores and attracts a daily average of 48,000 people. The Christian Louboutin boutique, for example, is not found in any other shopping center in Brazil. Also there are the first stores of brands such as Gucci and DVF - Diane Von Furstenberg in the national territory. To complete the program, take a break at the building's good restaurants, such as Rodeio and Ritz. The history of the Copan Building begins in the 1950s, when the city of São Paulo was undergoing intense furniture growth. The project was commissioned by the Pan American Hotel Company, and that is where the name of the building comes from (Copan is the abbreviation of the company name). The idea was to honor the city of São Paulo for its IV Centenary. Copan's original design featured a 30-story residential building and another that would house a 600-room hotel. The initial idea was that the two buildings would be linked by a ground floor sunroom that would have garage, cinema, theater and commerce, but only the Copan residential building was built. Due to some unforeseen events, such as the delay in approving the building permit and financial problems in the first developers of the project, the work was not completed until 1966. The number of apartments in the original Copan project was also changed during construction, from 900 to 1,160. So many changes impacted the execution of the project, especially regarding the size of the apartments. Most of the changes to Copan's project took place in 1957, when Banco Bradesco bought the building's construction rights. Copan in the 80's After its inauguration, Copan became one of the most expensive square meters in the city of São Paulo. Back then, living downtown was synonymous with glamor. But since the 1980s, as with many downtown buildings, Copan has gone through a phase of degradation. The elevators did not work, the walls were worn, there was trash everywhere, and the place became a spot of prostitution and drug dealing. From 1986, residents began to manage the building in place of real estate. This change led Copan to regain its value to the residents of São Paulo. In 2012, the Copan Building was listed as a patrimony of the state capital. Take a look at another gem of São Paulo architecture: How many meters is the Martinelli Building? Discover 11 curiosities about the work! Copan Building: Architecture The Copan Building has become iconic for its architecture. Its S-shape contrasts with the landscape, full of right angles. This is one of the most famous features of the architect responsible for the project, Oscar Niemeyer. Besides being beautiful, the S-shape helped Copan Building to occupy the space in the best way. It is not the right angle that attracts me, nor the straight, hard, unyielding… what attracts me is a free and sensual curve - Oscar Niemeyer If you look outside, you think of Copan as a big block, but the facade covers 6 blocks connected by the floor (from A to F). In addition to the apartments, Copan also has a shopping area on the ground floor with 72 stores, as well as a cinema that is currently occupied by an evangelical church. The building has 20 lifts and 221 underground car spaces. Another feature of the Copan Building project is the use of brises. The element, in addition to offering sun protection and thermal comfort, also helped to highlight the wavy facade. Oscar Niemeyer had already used this feature in the Montreal Building, one of his first works built in Sao Paulo. Talking about the materials, the Copan Building was built with masonry and reinforced concrete. The coating was made with ceramic tablets. - Largest reinforced concrete residential building in Brazil With 115 meters and 120 thousand m² of built area, Copan is the largest residential building in Brazil made of reinforced concrete.  - Diversity of residents Copan Building apartments range from kitnets to spaces of over 200 m². This feature makes the building receive a diversity of residents, from different social classes, ages and lifestyles. ****** Visitation at Copan Building ******* Monday to Friday at two times, at 10:30 and 15:30. The city's main museum, the São Paulo Art Museum - MASP marks the heart of Paulista Avenue. The space is among the main sights and is one of the most sought after by visitors who arrive in the capital of São Paulo. Designed by architect Lina Bo Bardi, the MASP building is famous for the four red pillars that support the large 74-meter free span. The place is a meeting point for residents, protesters and workers. The large venue also hosts cultural performances and events such as the Antiques Fair, which takes place on Sundays. Although the red facade of the building has become a postcard, it is inside the building that the MASP's great attraction is. The museum offers one of the most important collections in the country and is able to delight all fans of artwork. The set of works began to be assembled by Assis Chateaubriand, creator of MASP. The museum was opened in 1968 and today has over 8,000 pieces for exhibition. The space is already small for the size of the collection and the MASP prepares a large expansion. Among the works of the museum, stand out national names such as: Candido Portinari, Di Cavalcanti, Anita Malfatti and Almeida Junior. International art is represented by Rafael, Mantegna, Botticceli, Delacroix, Renoir, Manet, Monet, Degas, Cezanne, Picasso, Modigliani, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Matisse and Chagall, among others. One of the most prominent exhibitions is the “Art of France: Delacroix to Cézanne” collection, which welcomes visitors right at the entrance. In the show are pieces dating from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. The MASP presents in temporary shows part of the permanent collection and also exhibitions in partnership with other museums in the world. Inside, you can buy beautiful design items, souvenirs from exhibitions, and enjoy the restaurant and café. Take a bus or metrô from the bulding. It is about 20 minutes. Apfel is an ovolactovegetarian restaurant located on the Dom José de Barros street promenade, next to Praça da República, in central São Paulo. One of the city's most traditional restaurants, the place is one of the only vegetarian hideaways in the region where you can have a great vegan and organic meal. The restaurant is on the first floor of a charming, old downtown corner building. It is exactly between the pedestrian streets of Dom José de Barros street and Barão de Itapetininga. Walking down the boardwalk, you can see a digital sign upstairs announcing the place. Entering the small door, you climb a ladder that is always decorated with rose petals. In a large and unique environment are the cashier, the buffet and all the tables in the background. The atmosphere is very simple and cozy. Let's go to the dishes… The layout there is self-catering with juice and dessert included. The dishes served are varied according to the day. The food is very traditional vegetarian and the cuisine is run by chef Carlos Beutel. Most of the ingredients used are organic and Apfel also claims to respect seasonal production and encourage small producers. The salad buffet is very rich, full of seasonal organic vegetables. You can make that huge plate. In addition to the raw salads, there are also soups (always vegan) and other items like cold pie, couscous and tofu. There is the only place where there is no sign indicated as vegan or vegetarian, the way is always to hunt some kitchen worker and ask. The hot counter is always full of vegan options with the right indications. There is definitely not the place where you will find a vegan lasagna or vegetable cheese for example. But neither is it one of those dairy-abusing restaurants, just some 2 or 3 non-vegan dishes. Lately I have noticed that my plate has been slightly mountainous than my friends who are not even vegan. kkkk The desserts are excellent too, but for vegans there are only fruits and jams. Some days of the week, if you're lucky, you can also find a vegan cake. It is 25 minutes from the building. Schedule: Monday through Saturday from 1130 to 3pm.

A Decent Way to Get a Feel for Sao Paulo This is fairly typical of the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tours you find in most touristy cities, but unlike those in major cities, this one doesn’t have very many buses running. So, if you DO hop-off, make sure there is another bus still running after yours, so you can hop back on! This company doesn’t have a live narration, but it almost works better with the pre-recorded narration, since each spot is described in Portuguese, English and Spanish, without having to wear headphones for English or Spanish. They have a number of different routes, each about 2 hours long. Take advantage of the 24 hour window with your ticket, and check out the different routes! The departure point is no too far from the bulding. It is about 1 Km far. From the bulding go donw Consolação street until you reach Avenida Ipiranga and ask for República Metrô Station.
