Sightseeing

Villa de Seris is a traditional neighborhood where you can wonder around its narrow streets, with its own cathedral and a plaza, this area is good for a Sonoran desert well know within the state and beyond "Coyotas" are like a huge flat cookie filled with different kinds of jam or traditional sweets like jamoncillo, during summer you can have some filled with ice cream. This is the typical dessert for an afternoon coffee break at home.

Located right in the heart of Hermosillo’s old town is the city’s largest Cathedral. You can find some of the most typical Sonoran treats like raspado (crunchy smoothie) and coctel de elote (warm & spicy corn) while taking a chill promenade around the plaza. Just across from the cathedral on your right side you find The Old City Hall (white building), it has some of the most beautiful murals depicting history, historical personalities, Sonora tribes and the building itself its beautiful and well maintained, entrance is free.

El Cerro de la Campana is Hermosillo’s most iconic symbol. You can get up there by car or foot. For the best view, I recommend you to go just before the sun sets to experience a true desert sun setting. You will be amazed by all the colors and lights coming up as the night gets darker.
