The best bistro in town, I would say. It's classy but simple and it's bohemian. Prices might seem a little bit higher but the quality of food and drinks are at a high level as well. Give it a try also for a coffee in a rainy day. The atmosphere is unique and its location is fantastic right in the middle of the old center.

Right between Sfatului and Enescu Sqares you will find Dei Frati, a family run restaurant with Italian specific. There are two brothers who own this place and also cook the food. They really reproduce the Italian family atmosphere and more important tasty dishes. If you're a fan of la dolce vita you should seriously taste their food wines and deserts.

If you're a fan of la dolce vita you should seriously taste their food wines and deserts.
It's a secret spot right in the middle of the old city center, in the main town square (Piata Sfatului). Friendly people and really good coffee! Enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the place or of the gang's terrace.

Getting Around
Anyone visiting Brasov should take a long walk along the old city walls. You will enjoy the White Tower, The Black Tower views, the Graft Bastion and the nice feeling behind the old walls.

My favorite old building in town is Ecaterina's Gate, near the famous Schei Gate. It's part of the medieval defense wall system of Brasov.

This is the most famous ski resort of Romania. It is located 15 km away from Brasov and you can go there by bus 20 from the old city center (Livada Postei bus station). The landscapes are really beautiful in any season. I recommend taking a trip by cable car (if you don't enjoy hiking) to the top of the Postavaru Mountain and then walk to the Postavarul Chalet (Julius Römer Schulerhütte). The stunning views of Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains will be a nice surprise and there you can relax and have a bear or eat something really good that people from the chalet are cooking. You won't regret it if you decide to have a day trip in Poiana Brasov and to Postavaru Chalet. Enjoy!
