Amazing gastropub with an emphasis on seasonal produce. Daily changing menu, often with sharing pies, cuts of meats, excellent pasta, wine, beer and super friendly atmosphere. One of my favourites in Oxford - a bit of an institution!

Another gastropub which is walkable from the house. Doesn't look like much from the outside but it is a little foodie haven. Drew and his crew will look after you well - excellent roasts! Great sharing platters, meats, beer and wine. And cake.

Gastropub which is infamous for it's steak sharing platter. Sunday roasts are also a must, although it's first come first served with this, so get there for midday!

Small spanish plates (but better than tapas) with excellent wine and sherry. Think Ox cheek with cauliflower mash, pork belly with salsa verde, gambas with chili and garlic, boquerones...I could go on. Super friendly staff - Ben, the manager is always on hand to make you feel welcome.
