The Gladwin City Park has a mile long river walk paved trail between North Park with the campground, tubes for rent, and hinking trails, and the Outdoor Amphitheater with awesome summer plays. The south park has a canoe/tube launch and a skate park.

In the Spring, March and April, the Morel Mushrooms pop up in burnt over sandy soil near birches and maples. Great areas to search are up in the DNR State land near Meredith and Roscommon!

In the early Spring, February and March, head up to the Sugar Bush to help tap Maple Trees, boil sap, and make tasty maple syrup. Alexander's Enterprises, and Wes and Cindy Alexander are great teachers who will welcome visitors and help them learn more about maple sugaring!
