A 109 mile walking route starting in Helmsley and passing through the North Yorkshire Moors National Park before meeting the towns of Staithes and Robin Hood’s Bay before ending in Whitby. Sections of the route can be walked for day or half day walks.

An ancient walled city with Roman and Viking heritage that is an excellent day trip. York has day parking and a Park and Ride, or alternatively it is a 20 minute train ride from Northallerton station, with trains every 30 minutes or so.
