A lovely park next to NTU, the park has around 800 trees of various species, some of which were planted in the 19th century. There’s a pond full of cute ducks and their ducklings by the main gate. If you enjoy sitting on a wooden bench facing the pond and watching them swim, dive, bob and quack, then this park is must visit.

There’s a pond full of cute ducks and their ducklings by the main gate. If you enjoy sitting on a wooden bench facing the pond and watching them swim, dive, bob and quack, then this park is must visit.
Wollaton Hall was built between 1580 and 1588 for Sir Francis Willoughby and is believed to be designed by the Elizabethan architect, Robertaton Smythson, who had by then completed Longleat in Wiltshire and was to go on to design Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire.
15 mins away from Hillside House, it is a must visit 500 acres of beautiful green space with deers. Apparently some scenes of Batman were shot at Wollaton Park :-) incase you are a fan.
