San Diego is renowned for its fresh seafood, and you can buy directly from fisherman through Haworth fish.
Check their schedule of where/when they sell fish and offerings weekly at https://haworthfish.com/ - you can also arrange for fish to be delivered to the airbnb. Other great options for fresh fish at Catalina Offshore products (where restaurants chefs shop) or Tuna Harbor Dockside market on Saturday mornings in Seaport Village

Dress for the weather
San Diego easily has the best weather in the continental US, but it still helps to come prepared. Ocean Beach being close to the water can get chilly in the evenings, sometimes even in summer, so pack a light jacket. That said, even in the middle of winter, when the sun is out, it can get quite warm, particularly inland, so be sure to pack for summer weather as well!

So many options for kids' activities!
There is so much for kids to do in or near San Diego. The San Diego zoo and Seaworld are a short drive. The San Diego Zoo Safari park and Legoland are a little further but well worth the visit to tire your little ones out so you can enjoy a nice evening after they go to bed!
