Parks

This is a great central park in Longmont. It has two paths looping the park that take you by a small, city recreation center with classes, basketball courts, a small weight room and events. At the other end of the park is a nice senior center with many events for seniors and a playground. Just beyond that is a beautiful rose garden, beyond that a kiddie pool and pavilion. The pavilion has ice skating in the winter and events/music in the summer. In the middle is a large lawn for playing, relaxing etc.

Rocky Mt National Park

This is a very popular destination about 50 min from Longmont. It now uses a reservation system so be sure to register for a time if you plan to see this park. There are times very early in the am or later at night that do not require a reservation but check with the park before counting on those times. It is worth it, just plan ahead.
