Paul is a very nice place to enjoy a breakfast; located on the “Vrijdagsmarkt” it is very close to our apartment. We can recommend to go via “graffitistraatje” which is just besides our building.

There is always atmosphere in the Bar Des Amis. In the weekends it can be quite busy, but it is certainly worth it if you like cocktails.

The Zoo is a meeting place, a bar until late at night, with good music and a pleasant atmosphere. It is accessible and cozy. I think it is the nicest bar in the Oudburg.

“Het Galgenhuisje” is the smallest beer house in Gent, but certainly one we can recommend. About 4 minutes walking from our place, ask for Wouter, he is a nice chap :)
