If you are in Madeira for a long stay, maybe you would wish to visit Porto Santo, an island that belongs in our archipelago. It's not too far and it's a good place to visit, especially if it is sunny and if you like going to the beach.
The ferry gives you the option to take your car onboard. And the tariff without vehicle or extras like sports equipment should be something around €60/person. Have a look at Porto Santo Line's website if you are interested.
