Parking is at a premium for the public boat ramps
The public boats ramps have an honor system in the off season. There is a post box to pay $5 cash (total) when launching/returning. In the off season parking is usually available with no issue but during high seasons parking comes at a premium of first come first serve.

Steinhatchee is know for loving a holiday! With fiddler crab festivals, Christmas parades and 4th of July, just to name a few, you will be sure to have fun and experience a holiday you might not even have known existed!

Layering clothes!
Remember it is Florida so first light you may need clothes for 32 degree weather but by lunch you will be glad you have layers to remove. We do have heaters in the home but with hard surface floors I always suggest socks because the floors do get chilly.

Boat safety!
Remember if you choose to rent a boat little ones are required to wear life jackets at all times up until age 6 on any vessel 26ft or smaller. Life jackets must also be U.S. Coast Guard approved (the jacket will state this on the tag and inside)

If you are looking to rent a boat the Sea Hag is the best option. They rent for $200/daily or $150/half day. You can give them a call at (352) 498-3008 to schedule a booking.

There is a great park at the community center located at 1013 Riverside Dr, Steinhatchee, FL 32359. There is also a little library at the park that is open on limited days and hours. But if you are able to catch it open its a quirky fun little spot with books, movies, artifacts and sweet little old women who enjoy a good conversation.
